LSD, Lauren Santo Domingo (formerly Lauren Davis) is arguably the chicest woman on the planet. Her resume includes contributing fashion editor to Vogue, co-founder of Moda Operandi, (an online retailer where you can literally buy runway fashion from the design houses of Proenza Schouler, Isabel Marant, and Missoni amongst many others minutes after the models have left the runway) and New York socialite. Anna Wintour had asked LSD to “save” the Met Costume Gala because she felt it was not a fashionable enough crowd. LSD either hosts, co-chairs, or sponsors most major New York charity events. She is wed to Colombian billionaire Andres Santo Domingo and her wedding in Cartagena, Colombia was featured in Vogue with a bridal party that included Tinsley Mortimer. “I don’t know what anyone could do to top Lauren and Andres’s wedding- except getting married on the moon” – a quote from her wedding spread Vogue. In the fashion world, designers go to her for her amazing scrapbooks for inspiration. (Yes, you read that right, she makes scrapbooks of what she is inspired by and designers go to HER for the inspiration. Who knew scrap booking could be so cool?) And that fabulous Nina Ricci dress that SJP wore to the 2008 Sex and the City movie premier, LSD had already worn it a month earlier. Talk about privilege. My favorite fun fact about LSD (as if all of that didn’t make me already want to be her) is that she openly admitted to the Huffington Post that she never blow dries her own hair, it’s her cue to get one when she has about 65 unread emails- which translates into every 4 or 5 days.
